It’s the start of a new year and that means a new plan. My goal is $100,000 of sales in 2022. I did no where near that in 2021 so it’s an audacious goal. But, I’ve broken it down by # of products and average price point. The result: I need to produce and sell 100 of each style. Now, that feels less outrageous but I’ll still need your help.
First, I’m having a January clearance sale. All prior season inventory needs to go. I’m marking it down to 30-75% off. Of course, for some styles, I only have the small or large sizes left. However, for both the Heidi reversible swing top and the Joy pocket pant, I have all sizes available. Take advantage of these fantastic prices and please pass the word on to family, friends, and colleagues. I’d like to make room for what’s coming in 2022.
Next, I’m hosting the 2nd annual “What do you want to wear in 2022?” event on Zoom. It’s on Saturday, January 8th at 2:00 pm. I really want to double down on the things you love to wear so I need your valuable input. My creative inclination is to always come up with new and different styles. But, I have a hunch that maybe you’d like to see some tried and true styles repeated.

New styles for 2022
You’ll get to see the designs I’m considering for this coming year. Then cast your vote for the ones you’d like to see in my online shop or in-person at my home studio. I’ll be modelling some pieces live. Plus, I’ll show you photos of the pieces on different size women. And, it’ll be interactive with polls to vote on your favourite styles and colours. Join me and be part of the COKANNA design process. Special VIP invites will be going out to my top 10 customers. Here’s where you can register:
What do you want to wear in 2022?
You’re my loyal fan base and I will be forever grateful. Thank you. I just need that base to grow exponentially in 2022 to reach my goal. Here’s another way to break down the 100K: 400 customers spending $250 this year, or 200 customers spending $500 this year. Doable? Yes, I think so!
To make that happen, I need to get in front of as many women over 50 as possible. There’s a lot of us so it’s feasible. How can you help with this? Like and follow COKANNA on Facebook and Instagram. When you see a new post, it would be amazing if you could like, comment, and share. It really helps me get seen by new people. And, of course, word-of-mouth advertising is always the best. Even so, potential new customers need to come across my bamboo clothing many times before they actually buy.
For those new to COKANNA, the best way to stay informed and get advance notice of pre-order opportunities, Kanbassador photoshoots, special events, and flash sales is to be a Keeping Abreast blog subscriber. Plus, new subscribers get 10% off their first online purchase of any regular priced item.
Last but not least, join the COKANNA Coffee Shop group. Every month, I host a free coffee shop event online with a special guest. Here’s what’s coming up in January and February:
Yes, I’d like to get organized
Yes, I’d like to change my fate
My final words…I’ve been doing this for 6 years now. So, this is my do or die year. Hence, the outrageous goal. I’m gonna plan, then execute, and give it my all. Then on December 31, 2022, we’ll see where my fate takes me.
Until next time,
~ Colleen
