Just dropping in with a reminder that its Cancer Care Give*Away time. There’s only one week left to enter. The random draw will take place at 6:00 pm EST on Monday, October 30th.
Chances are you or someone you know is going through cancer treatment right now. We’ve all been touched by it in one way or another or in many ways.
One of my core business values is to give back to the community that helped me through my own breast cancer experience. In previous years, I’ve given away a bamboo headscarf or cap during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, I wanted to add my Maddison bamboo zip-up top to the mix of prizes.

3 prizes in the Cancer Care Give*Away
The Maddison was my very first design that was born out of my own specific needs during treatment and recovery. I wanted something that was soft against my skin and breathable. It had to have a front closure so it was easy to slip on and off without lifting my arms up. There are so many appointments, procedures, and treatments that require you to undress and dress. And not to mention the hot flashes when chemotherapy abruptly kicks you into menopause. You need something you can whip off quickly.
I wanted the armholes and sleeves to be loose enough to accommodate swelling or PICC lines. The neckline needed to provide adequate coverage to not only hide incisions, bandages, and implanted ports but also give easy access to the port during treatment.
And last but not least, I wanted to look like myself. I didn’t want to wear a baggy top to be comfortable. I wanted to feel comfortable and look good even though I was unwell.

1st prize is the Maddison which can be worn zipped up as a top or unzipped as a jacket.
So if you or someone you love is going through or been through cancer, I would love for you to enter the Cancer Care Give*Away. And even if you don’t know of anyone which I hope is the case, then enter anyway. The Maddison bamboo top/jacket is for all who like stylish and comfy clothes.
And the gender neutral bamboo headscarf and cap in a light or dark charcoal can also be worn by anyone.

2nd prize a bamboo headscarf and 3rd prize a bamboo cap

You will be on my Keeping Abreast mailing list but I promise I won’t bombard you with emails. And I will never share your email with any other parties unless I get your consent first. Plus, you can always opt out at any time.
One last note, please pass this on to friends, family, and coworkers who might also like a new bamboo top, headscarf, or cap.
Wishing you all the best,
~ Colleen
