Next up in our Model Mini-Blog Series for the Paris Nights Fashion Show & Sale is the elegant Eleanor Swain.
Eleanor is 64 years young and proud of it. She is kicking down the ageism barriers. Eleanor gave up hair dye at age 55 and rocks her silver hair!
About 4 years ago, Eleanor was given a gift certificate for a functional training session at a gym. She loved it so much that this all around functional exercise program has now become an integral part of her life. Eleanor has always said she wasn’t much of an athlete but she thoroughly enjoys this better-movement-for-life training. Strength, balance, and flexibility are so important especially in our second act, and Eleanor plans to live a long and healthy life.
Eleanor still works full time for Wüsthof Canada, a German family-owned business that forges precision knives, but plans on scaling back to part time next year. Eleanor’s company is generously donating a Kitchen Surfer knife valued at $119 for a door prize at our fashion show.
Eleanor is the mother of two, and grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren.
Her style is casual and comfortable with a pop of colour. She loves soft fabrics that have some flow and movement to them. Comfort and style are key. Well, Eleanor, we think the COKANNA soft bamboo clothing line is made just for you!
Come to the La Maison du Kouign-Amann French cafe in Kanata on Saturday night and meet Eleanor in person. She will be proudly strutting her stuff on the catwalk.
