Guess who’s carrying the Carolyn bamboo dress? It’s the Three Wild Women in Westboro. I’m so excited!

I used to shop at this chic boutique all the time when I worked in an office downtown. They’ve always had a great selection of unique and stylish but not too trendy clothing for women of all ages and sizes. They carry Size 2 to 26. I could find things that actually fit.

Helen Aikenhead, proud owner and Jackie-of-all-trades, carries many Canadian-made brands and supports local designers. She’s been in business since 2005 and has been weathering this pandemic storm. I can tell you firsthand that Helen and her team are friendly, knowledgeable, and offer a relaxed, no pressure shopping experience. I’m tickled pink to have my Carolyn reversible bamboo dress in their shop.

Helen also connected me up with The Bobbins Production Studio owned by Brandi Van Haren and Ivy Tessier. This design duo started up their business in 2019 and specialize in small-batch apparel production. I’m thrilled to have a production house so close to home. Brandi used to work at Three Wild Women. I love how one connection leads to another. Once again, it’s women supporting women.

Here’s Helen modelling the Carolyn dress in Midnight Black. She looks fantastic!

What makes this dress so appealing, other than the soft comfy breathable bamboo, is the hidden pockets.

If you’ve been eyeing the Carolyn dress but aren’t sure about your size, then pop on over to the Three Wild Women when it’s safe to do so and give it a try. They’re at 263 Richmond Rd, Ottawa.

Until next time,
