Just a quick post this week to wish you a Happy Easter and Happy Spring! I believe spring has finally sprung. And btw, Mother Nature, thanks for that final winter send off. Does everyone have power back now?
Amid the chaos, I hope you found some time this holiday weekend to enjoy doing something just for you. That could be spending time surrounded loved ones, or quietly by yourself curled up with a good book.

I myself spent Saturday night binge watching a romantic international Netflix series in Mandarin with English subtitles. What can I say, I’m a hopeless romantic! And it’s incredibly satisfying to watch TV with characters who look just like me. Something I never got to see growing up. Now it seems I can’t get enough of the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese dramas that are so readily available.
For me, I find it’s a great way to wind down from a particularly long and busy work schedule.
Throw in the ice storm and a sick dog who threw up 6 times in a 24 hour period, it was an anxious and tiring week.
It required a lot of cleaning up after said dog who loves the spring smells and scarfing up any newly unthawed and decayed debris he can sneakily find. After all was said and done, a bath was in order.

Freshly bathed Oliver
I do have to give props to Oliver though for having the wherewithal in the middle of the night to make his way to the shower to upheave. That one made for a quick and easy cleanup.
In addition, it’s now Day 21 and I still don’t have a fridge. Let me correct that, I do have a mini fridge on loan so I’m not completely without refrigeration. I’m grateful for that. And I did not lose power during the ice storm so I’m thankful for that too.
I also get to have Easter dinner with my sister and family. And, Oliver is back to his normal perky self. So my week ended on a high note!
I hope yours did too, and you’re out enjoying this lovely spring weather!
