Good news! It’s official…I’m moving. Both the sale of my condo and the purchase of our new home firmed up on Friday. We’ll be moving mid-to-late January. What a way to start the New Year!
For those of you who’ve been asking, our new home is in the Emerald Woods/Sawmill Creek neighbourhood. If you don’t know where that is, it’s in the south end of Ottawa, not too far from the airport and South Keys.
I’m going back to an old familiar area of the city. It’s south but central so getting east or west is relatively easy. Our property backs on to the Royal Ranch Equestrian Centre, formerly the Greenbelt Riding School. And as fate would have it, my daughter used to ride at Greenbelt. I took it as a sign from the universe when we decided to make an offer. Here’s some pics for old times sake. Such fond memories!

So we’ll have horses as neighbours. We even heard some neighing going on when we were outside on the deck. I hope Oliver will like that. I know he’ll love having a backyard again where he can wander around at his leisure.

In addition for in-person shoppers, I have accumulated a bunch of sample pieces over the years. These are items that have been sewn up as samples for testing purposes prior to going into production. They don’t have labels. You can purchase for $20 to $25. Also, I have some seconds which are items that come out of production with a flaw or imperfection. These will be available to purchase at extremely low prices or best offer.
Plus Nancy Livingstone of Herbal Maker will be here with her flavourful and aromatic dried herbs in a jar, artisan honey, herb lover’s agendas, gift baskets, and more. These make wonderful stocking stuffers and hostess gifts. I love Nancy’s dried herbs. I use them in just about everything from soups, sauces, and salads to seasoning meat, fish, and veggies.
And I love that Nancy recycles her jars. When I purchase a new set of herbs, I return the old jars.
My Pre-Christmas Moving Sale will take place on Sunday, December 3rd from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at my home studio in Kanata. This will be my last event in this place and for this year. So help me go out with a bang! Get your free ticket(s) here:
