Here’s a sneak preview of my new tunic top dropping in September. It’s one of the styles that came out of the design focus group I held back in March.
Year round dressing
My bamboo clothing line has always been about year round all season dressing. In my mind, there’s no reason to changeover your closet from season to season even if you live in Canada. Except for the winter coats, boots, hats & mitts, of course.
A pared down wardrobe is good for lots of reasons. It makes it easier to get dressed in the morning. When you have fewer well chosen pieces to choose from, it saves time and mental energy.
There’s room in your closet to keep all your clothes in one place.
You make fewer, wiser purchases which is good for your bank account in the long run. And, it’s good for the environment. It means fewer garments making their way to the landfill. Because they all do eventually even if you donate them.
Coming in September
All this has led me to rethink calling my final production run, my Fall/Winter 2023 collection. I’m just going to say I have a new design dropping in September. Let’s take the seasonality out of it.
So without further ado, here’s the new tunic top:

Design features
The tunic has full length sleeves with an extra wide rib cuff which accommodates individual arm lengths. If you have shorter arms like me, fold the cuff back.

Bamboo rib cuff can be folded back
Or if you have longer arms, leave the cuff down. Another option is to fold the cuff back for 3/4 sleeves.

Another great feature is the deep side seam pockets. I don’t know about you, but I love pockets. Not only to carry things in, but I also just like putting my hands in them.

Colours and sizes
This new style will come in my 3 signatures colours: Fiery Fuchsia, Silky Blue, and Midnight Black. The fabric is a medium weight bamboo French terry custom knit right here in Ontario.
It will be available in my standard sizes: 1(S), 2(M), 3(L), and 4(XL).
If all goes according to plan, the new tunic will drop in early September. That means you, my Keeping Abreast subscribers, will get front of the line access to Pre-order in August at a special pre-order price.
Omg, it’s already July!!! Not too long to wait and lots for me to do!
