Brand new style
The cropped cardi is a brand new design. The inspiration came from an old Club Monaco sweater I purchased when I was still a student. In other words, a very long time ago. This 100% cotton sweater served me well over the years. It travelled with me to many different parts of the world. I finally had to retire it when it started getting holes in it.

Then it dawned on me. Why don’t I make an updated version of it! My own version incorporating things I’d like to see. Like first of all making it out of bamboo. Leaving off the buttons because I never did them up anyway. Making the armholes and sleeves more generously cut for comfort. And, finally adding crisp topstitching detail.

Coordinates with the Joan Trouser
The cropped cardi is a great little sweater you can throw on over anything. It’s that extra light layer that easily tucks into your bag or ties around your shoulders or waist. It comes in charcoal grey or black to coordinate with the Joan bamboo trouser. Definitely a great capsule wardrobe addition. It features 3/4 sleeves and an easy one snap closure.

If you’ve already pre-ordered the Joan trouser, then the cropped cardi will complete your outfit. And, if you haven’t ordered the classic Joan pant yet, then get both together. It makes a great work outfit whether you’re going into the office or working from home. Plus, it works just as well over a dress or skirt.

Travel piece
As I mentioned earlier, this sweater travels well. It doesn’t take up much room in your suitcase. The bamboo French terry is soft, breathable, and thermal regulating. It will keep you warm in the cool weather, and cool in the warm weather.

The sizing is my usual Size 1(S), 2(M), 3(L) and 4(XL). Here’s the size chart for easy reference:

The price is $109 + tax for a Canadian-made product, ethically and locally produced at The Bobbins Production Studio in Ottawa, Ontario. The quality is exceptional and the design is clean simple lines that will keep you looking stylish and feeling comfortable for years to come.
