Psst, did you hear I’m moving? If you follow me on Facebook, then you’ll know I just conditionally sold my condo. And 2 weeks ago, my sister and I conditionally purchased a house in the south end of the city. I don’t want to jinx anything so that’s all I’m going to say for now. If everything goes according to plan, both the sale and purchase will firm up by the end of the week.

I was under the gun to sell my condo within 45 days to fulfill the conditional offer on the house. That meant there was a lot of purging, organizing, packing, and cleaning going on. Not to mention the numerous trips to Dymon Storage, Value Village, and other drop-off places. It’s been a whirlwind of activities: staging & moving furniture, photos & video, and keeping the place spotless.

We listed on Wednesday, had our first showing on Thursday at 5:30 pm, and an offer in hand by 8:30 pm. We countered the next morning, got everything we asked for, and signed on the dotted line by 5:00 pm on Friday.

I’m feeling so much gratitude. Thank you universe for bringing forth the right buyer at exactly the right time. And a huge thank you to my meticulous and thorough real estate agent, Shani Guerin. All the stars have aligned…at least so far…fingers crossed, knock on wood, and whatever other good luck acts I can perform.

And now the goods news for all of you. Since my place is virtually sold and I don’t have to keep it looking like no one lives here anymore, I can host a Pre-Christmas Moving Sale!

As you can imagine, I would like to sell as much of my COKANNA clothing as possible so I don’t have to move it. The less to move, the better.

In addition, there’ll be a special guest vendor: Nancy Livingstone of HERBAL MAKER. If you haven’t heard of Nancy and her dried herbs, then you’re in for a treat. Her herbs are lovingly planted and tended through the growing season before they are carefully harvested and dried. Then they’re stripped by hand and packaged in reusable glass jars. She also has small-batch artisan honey, a herb lover’s agenda, gift baskets, and more.

And, if you can, bring a few extra $ for a cash donation at the door. All donations will go directly to the Ottawa Food Bank to help people in need this holiday season.

As always, there will be coffee, tea, and dessert served. Come for the goodies, come for the good company, and come for the shopping! The perfect time to pick up a gift for yourself or someone you love. Grab your ticket(s) here:
