Thank you for your generous feedback. For those of you who attended the “Tell me what you want when we can go out again” coffee shop, you’re truly awesome! And to those who send me emails and messages with your ideas & suggestions, your likes & dislikes, your this is what I’m looking for but can’t find, and your photos, examples & links, I love it all! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Your enthusiasm fills me up with excitement. It’s helping me change my outdated belief about the start of a new year. It’s helping me take action even in this period of lockdown.
Reminds me of my why
Instead of feeling anxious and overwhelmed and then paralyzed, I’m feeling hopeful, optimistic, and excited. It brings me back to why I do this. I want women of all ages, shapes, sizes, and abilities to feel comfortable and stylish. I want you to feel good about yourself in what you wear.
Wheels in motion
I studied the polling results from the surveys we did in the coffee shop and looked at the photos and suggestions you sent to me. I’ve chosen 6 designs to develop. That doesn’t mean I’ll produce them all right away. But, it does mean I’ve had discussions with my design and development team, the contractors I work with in Toronto. It does mean I have sent them examples, sketches, and instructions to work on patterns and samples. And, it does mean I’ve ordered new fabric to sew up the samples. It’s a whole new way of working from afar.
It will take time but the wheels are in motion. Everyone is working at half capacity and with Covid safety protocols in place. Things are taking much longer. That’s okay. This is the way it is right now. We’re all adjusting and doing the best we can. We ask for your patience and understanding.
New designs
Here are some sketches and photos so you can see what’s coming down the pipes. I can’t promise when or even if they’ll all make it to production but things are moving forward even in lockdown.
When it’s safe to go out again, travel again, and meet and hug friends and family again, you’ll have something new to wear.
Love to hear from you
As always, I would love to hear from you. Comment below or send me an email at colleen@cokanna.ca or a message on Facebook or DM me on Instagram. I read and respond to every one.
January sale
In the meantime, don’t forget to take advantage of my January 50% OFF sale. If you have a teen in your family who could use some new leggings, I have Size 1 (fits like an XS) in the Lynne leggings. I also have Size 4(XL) left. If you’re a plus size curvy gal, I have Size 5 (fits 2X-3X) in the Patricia cardigan and Joan trouser. In everything else, there’s a mixture of sizes.
P.S. A big shout out to Barbi Defazio of Red Raspberry Studios for the awesome illustration of whimsical me. If you’re looking for an artist/illustrator, Barbi is your gal!
Until next week, be safe and well,
~ Colleen
