It’s time
August is quickly winding down and that means it’s time to pre-order new styles for Fall. I’ve checked in with my manufacturer in Toronto, CRW Design, and everything’s on schedule for early September.
First off, I would like to thank all of you who came out to my Design Focus Group back in March. Your input and feedback helped me a lot in pulling together my final production run. There’s a special thank you bonus coming to your Inbox so keep an eye out!
So without further ado, here are my 2 new designs arriving the first week of September. Just in time for back to school and work. I remember one of the things I loved most about going back to school was picking out my first-day-of-school outfit. It was always something brand new.
Maddison zip-up
If you’ve been following along, you know that the first style is something old is new again. I’ve brought back my very first design. I thought it was fitting that my first design be part of my last production run. It really is coming full circle. Plus, there have been requests for the Maddison to make a comeback.

Many of you have the original Maddison in a cap, short, or 3/4 sleeve. What’s new this time round? It has full length sleeves. It’s also in a medium weight bamboo French terry. These changes make it a great year round capsule wardrobe item.
What’s the same? The front zip closure making it easy to slip on and off. And, the hi-lo hemline. The curved dip in the back is a flattering silhouette and covers your bottom.
Also, some of you have asked, “Is it a top or a jacket?” The answer is both. Zip it up and it’s a standalone top.

It comes in my 3 signature colours: fiery fuchsia, silky blue, and midnight black. And, my 4 standard sizes: 1(S), 2(M), 3(L), and 4(XL).
New tunic
Next up is a brand new tunic. It’s inspired by the Pamela hoodie which many of you own and love. (Btw, I still have a few left in both light and dark charcoal in Size 3(L) at half price). The tunic also incorporates your wish list: longer length, no hood, and side pockets instead of the kangaroo pocket. These changes make it more versatile. It’s still soft and comfy but dressy enough to wear to work.

It features a bamboo rib neckline and cuffs. The wide rib cuff accommodates different arm lengths. Have longer arms? Leave the cuff down. Shorter arms? Fold the cuff back.

And my favourite feature, the side seam top-stitched pockets.

New name
At this very moment of writing, I’ve decided to name the tunic, the Linda, after my sister. It’s in celebration of her move to Ottawa in September. As my daughter moves out and heads back to university, my sister will move in. I always like to name my designs after women I love and admire so this is a perfect fit. My first design is the Maddison after my daughter and my final design is the Linda after my sister. Another coming full circle moment.

Like the Maddison, it will come in fiery fuchsia, silky blue, and midnight black. However, the midnight black will be in a bamboo fleece instead of French terry. The bamboo fleece is the same weight as the French terry but it’s been fluffed up on the inside to make it more cosy. So if you’re someone who is always cold and likes to be warm and cosy, then black is your colour. The Linda will come in Size 1(S) right up to Size 4(XL).
