Welcome 2024! Come on in. Just a quick blog post this week to usher in the new year and wish you a happy healthy year ahead.

Year of the Dragon

If you’re into the Chinese zodiac, it’s the Year of the Dragon. The Dragon is a symbol of strength, courage, creativity, and innovation. 2024 is expected to be a year of potential and opportunity. Hmmm, I like that.

Year of the Dragon

Specifically the 2024 Year of the Dragon is expected to be a time of visionary leaders, innovators, and problem solvers. Thank goodness…because we really need that right now.

Goodbye 2023

As we close out 2023, I would like to include this message which I came across on Facebook. I thought it was worth re-posting here.

Welcome 2024 by Colleen Kanna

I feel like many of us could use this reminder. It’s been a challenging year on many fronts. 2023 did not end the way I had expected. So please celebrate with me. We made it through.

Hello 2024

For me, there will be many changes in 2024. I’m moving to a new home with my sister. After condo living for the last 5 years, I’m ready to have a single family home again with a backyard. Oliver will be very happy.

I’ll be closing COKANNA, my clothing line, in 2024. I know I’m been talking about winding down my business for a couple of years now, and that wind down has been gradually happening. 2024 will be the final year.

What will I do next? Maybe I’ll get a job…one job…instead of running around between part-time jobs. Maybe I’ll semi-retire. I don’t think I’m ready for full retirement yet. But the thought of slowing down is very appealing. It’s on my agenda this year.

I hope that whatever’s on your agenda in 2024, it will bring you peace, joy, and time to savour the small moments.

Happy New Year!
